By and large, language is a tool for concealing the truth.
George Carlin
The hardest thing about any political campaign is how to win without proving that you are unworthy of winning. ~Adlai E. Stevenson
I offer my opponents a bargain: if they will stop telling lies about us, I will stop telling the truth about them. ~Adlai Stevenson, campaign speech, 1952
Every two years the American politics industry fills the airwaves with the most virulent, scurrilous, wall-to-wall character assassination of nearly every political practitioner in the country - and then declares itself puzzled that America has lost trust in its politicians. ~Charles Krauthammer
Instead of giving a politician the keys to the city, it might be better to change the locks. ~Doug Larson
Amen - Amen - Amen - Amen - Amen!!!
Good quotes.

And just think...we have 2 more months of this.
Sherry
We are not going to get the government of the people back until we remove the over 30,000 lobbyists with all that cash to toss around to the politicians of both parties.
Will Americans do it? That remains to be seen.
For years people have been electing people to Congress on the strength of a term limit promise. Of course, as soon as the elected official finds out what he can line his pockets with, term limits seem to be less important. Somehow those people keep being reelected by the same voters that were disappointed to start out with.
Since these politicians can't set term limits, do you really expect they'll cut the throat of the geese that lays their golden eggs?

We need ordinary business (smaller) business people & "real" people up there. Big business/corporations can be trusted to treat the real people right.
Hope you're having a great day, Sherry!
Yeah! It started earlier because of Hiliary. We have 2 more months of it to go and I may not make it and retain my sanity at the same time.
Sherry
I'll vote for that!

Sherry
Look at your rainbow colored raindrops!!!
Now, that is WAY COOL!
Stopped by to say that I am still not getting emails. I'm on the phone with AOL now. Will let you know.
Hugggggggggggggggz,
Taylor
The guy in India says that nothing is wrong with my AOL account and I am not blocking anything from Blogstream.
I sent email to Blogstream reporting problem.
Huggggggggggggggggggz,
Taylor
I am not getting emails to my account either (aol) from blogstream. I have noticed that a little plain and empty box appears at the bottom of all our post - and Pioneer is saying that they are installing a "rating" system (that is all we need) as if counters didn't cause a big enough problem - now we can rate each other -
My guess it has something to do with that being installed - I have written him and asked and told him my problem - I didn't realize you were also having it - until I went on Questionstream and saw Sherry's posting there -
Lookin
The rainbow colored raindrops is the first time I actually have a background that makes sense with my title. So, I'm a little slow.
Sherry
I got all of my emails this morning from yesterday, plus, so far the new ones are coming through. Keeping my fingers crossed.
Sherry
I haven't noticed the empty box. I think the rating system was an old idea he had that didn't work. Those posts of his are from 2005 and 2006. I don't know what the problem was but it seems to be fixed now.
Sherry
They are funny aren't they? And all so true.
Sherry
Looks like we weathered that "storm"!!!
Hugggggggggggggggggz,
Taylor
As pretty as it is ... I would imagine it took some work to find it!
Good job!
Hugggggggggggggggggggz,
Taylor
Yep, we either had a cosmic dust storm or AOL had a network error someplace. I'm thinking it was an AOL problem because it only affected AOL users. Pioneer said they didn't change any settings. I started getting email before he saw my question. According to the times on the email it started at 4:58am this morning.
Sherry
I was really pleased with it when I found it. It was on a website that instructs artist how to paint water drops, plus it worked really well with the text area colors I all ready had in place.
